Course Overview
Safe Lifting and Material Transfer Techniques is designed to provide employees, supervisors, and safety professionals with essential knowledge and practical skills to handle materials efficiently while minimizing the risk of injury. This course focuses on common hazards associated with manual handling and mechanical lifting in industrial, construction, warehouse, and logistics environments.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of how improper lifting, repetitive movements, and poor posture can lead to musculoskeletal injuries and operational inefficiencies. The program introduces structured approaches to assessing loads, planning lifts, and selecting the right equipment to ensure safe and controlled material movement.
Through a combination of theoretical concepts and real-world scenarios, the course emphasizes correct lifting techniques, use of assistive devices, team coordination, and adherence to safety protocols. It also highlights the importance of risk assessment, workplace ergonomics, and preventive measures to promote a safer and more productive work environment.
